3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS

Intense

PACKAGE SUMMARY:

Trekking from Below the Fumaça Waterfall

One of the stars of Chapada Diamantina, Cachoeira da Fumaça is the second highest waterfall in Brazil, at 380 meters, and the highest in free fall! The view from the waterfall is spectacular: the water spreads out in droplets before reaching the ground, rising with the wind and creating the visual effect of smoke.

On this trek, you will see the waterfall both from below, in its spectacular canyon of almost 400 meters, and from above, admiring the beautiful view amidst the rocky walls and its various viewpoints. Along the way, you will pass through well-preserved forests and even ruins from the mining era, as well as other beautiful waterfalls in Chapada Diamantina, Capivara and Palmital.

To complete the adventure, you will need to camp in the wild for 2 nights. Diamantina Native Guides provides all the necessary camping equipment, as well as food. Native guides, who know every trail, waterfall, cave and viewpoint, will be with you, sharing not only the route, but also fascinating stories about the culture and life in the region.
